Little Star Center is a truly unique and special place for children and families affected by autism. Our Indiana applied behavior analysis centers in Carmel, Bloomington, Lafayette, West Lafayette, Newburgh and Clarksville are staffed and operated by a team of professionals who are among the most experienced in providing ABA therapy for children, teens and young adults. Little Star Center, founded in 2002, was the first ABA facility in the state of Indiana.
Statistics show autism is one of the most rapidly growing developmental disabilities in the United States with one in 68 children diagnosed each year. We believe families are an integral part of their child’s programming and we pride ourselves on having a “family first” philosophy.
As the need for Indiana applied behavior analysis center services continues to grow, so do our services with the addition of centers in Carmel, Lafayette, West Lafayette, Bloomington, Clarksville and Newburgh. In recent years we also have added home-based ABA services for our families in central Indiana. Our team provides transition-to-school and community-based programs for older teens and young adults.
Operating as a non-profit, our board of directors support efforts to raise funds that create a financial safety net for our families, if insurance challenges arise. Our team also has a dedicated national advisory board that includes some of the foremost experts in the field of autism and ABA.
After decades of research, the United States Surgeon General has endorsed intensive behavioral intervention for individuals with autism and other developmental delays. Over 60 years of research documents the efficacy of ABA in reducing the inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behavior.
